Amid the ongoing speculation, its being claimed a group of advertisers has written to Google demanding to know what plans to do in China.
It follows reports that the internet company intends to close its Beijing search operation, after a sophisticated hacking from inside China.
Google has only said it is no longer prepared to offer a censored search engine.
